I am not just a menstruating human when I bleed out of my vagina. The physical output of blood is a material developing continuously. The cycle that drives my body, 29 days at a time. teaches me that I am capable of different things at different times. What if, instead of flattening out these states of being, I let it radiate?
Highlight of toolbox
"Periodically True" invites you into my journey of collaborating with my menstrual cycle and its materials as a resource for introspective creativity. A synchronized body and calendar surrounded by hand-crafted blood paper and seasonal self-portraits builds upon the ever-growing recognition of the menstrual cycle as a powerful tool. This work was developed alongside the research of the Menstrualsphere.

Weaving together the inner seasons, my menstrual cycle of 29 days, the ovarian cycle, the uterine cycle, the year of 2024, the environmental seasons, and the 4-segmented creative cycle.
